Our products range from basic battery or mains 'standalone' smoke detectors to fully automatic fire detection systems with integrated fire extinguishing and emergency lighting. All of our fire equipment is installed to BS5839 standards and emergency lighting is installed to BS5266 standards.

Servicing of Security

Cal2 offer a wide range of service contracts from the service of domestic installations to schools and industrial offices including the takeover of systems.

It is recommended by Insurance Companies, Police Authorities NSI and SSAIB that all security equipment be serviced annually, to ensure that it continues to give you the peace of mind you now enjoy and to reduce the possibility of false alarm activations. Although Cal2 Fire and Security only use quality products at all times, even the best can occasionally give some problems if not serviced and maintained.

Cal2 Offer a service and maintenance contract for either quarterly, 6 monthly or yearly designed to keep the systems free from false alarms

Some Insurance companies offer a policy discount if the security system is serviced and maintained annually

To help spread the costs payment terms can be set for either one off payments or monthly payments

Servicing of Fire

At Cal2 Fire and Security, we recommend that our customers take out one of our Alarm Maintenance contracts. These contracts are a great option if you want to ensure the perfect working order of your fire or security alarm. A alarm can sit dormant for months so you can never be absolutely sure that your system will work effectively when it is needed. When you take out a Alarm Maintenance contract with Cal2, we will visit your premises regularly and carry out full testing of your system together with routine servicing and any repairs that may be required, all for one affordable price.

Portable Appliance Testing

Cal2 Fire and Security provide the Inspection and Testing of Portable Electrical Appliances. Our main goal is to supply your company or organisation with a comprehensive and cost effective solution to comply with the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989. All Employers and Landlords/Letting agents are responsible by law for preventing any harm coming to their employees, customers and tenants when using electrical appliances or equipment provided for their use. If your working environment or property has any appliances with a mains voltage plug attached, for example: Computers, Monitors, Printers, Kettles, Microwaves, Fridges, Vacuum Cleaners, Cash Tills, etc. You will have a legal obligation to comply with all the necessary regulations. PAT Testing is the best way you can fulfil this obligation. Failure to implement a programme of Portable Appliance Testing can also have insurance implications. Electricity can kill! Each year about 1000 accidents at work involving electric shock or burns are reported to the Health and Safety Executive. About 30 of these are fatal. Faulty electrical appliances and leads are the main cause of accidental fires in commercial buildings, representing over a quarter of all such fires.

Pricing is at £2 per item with a minimum fee of £45 for 20 or less items.

Cal2 do not charge for minor repairs during the course of the inspection if requiring just 10 minutes to carry out that repair.
