Fire alarm systems can be monitored so that people can be evacuated and the Fire Brigade alerted immediately in the event of a fire.

A alarm can sit dormant for months so you can never be absolutely sure that your system will work effectively when it is needed. When you take out a Alarm Maintenance contract with Cal2, we will visit your premises regularly and carry out full testing of your system together with routine servicing and any repairs that may be required, all for one affordable price.

Our main goal is to supply your company or organisation with a comprehensive and cost effective solution to comply with the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989. All Employers and Landlords/Letting agents are responsible by law for preventing any harm coming to their employees, customers and tenants when using electrical appliances or equipment provided for their use. If your working environment or property has any appliances with a mains voltage plug attached, for example: Computers, Monitors, Printers, Kettles, Microwaves, Fridges, Vacuum Cleaners, Cash Tills, etc. You will have a legal obligation to comply with all the necessary regulations. PAT Testing is the best way you can fulfil this obligation. Failure to implement a programme of Portable Appliance Testing can also have insurance implications. Electricity can kill! Each year about 1000 accidents at work involving electric shock or burns are reported to the Health and Safety Executive. About 30 of these are fatal. Faulty electrical appliances and leads are the main cause of accidental fires in commercial buildings, representing over a quarter of all such fires.
